Fight dirty chopping board with lemons and saltaslkdhjas;dlk

Certain cleaning chemicals can ruin your chopping board, but do not worry as we have prepared an alternative to clean your board. Sprinkle some salt (kosher salt would be perfect) and scrub the salt away with lemon, make sure to squeeze the juice a bit, rinse it off and you have yourself a clean cutting board without any chemicals.

Microwave and vinegar

If your microwave’s insides are packed with dirt and grimes from all the microwaving, try this hack instead. Place a bowl of water with vinegar inside the microwave and set it on high for five to ten minutes, depending on how dirty your microwave is. By doing this steam cleaning, you’re ‘melting’ the grimes away. After the process is done, all you need to do is wipe the insides of your microwave with a sponge or paper towel.

Tip: if you feel like your microwave is smelly, swap the vinegar with some lemon juice instead, this will leave your microwave with a fragrant lemony smell compared to vinegar.

Fight off pet hair

This hack is a win-win solution, which you can do after washing your dishes. Wearing rubber gloves that you used to wash dishes, take a small detour to the carpet and the couch, the wet gloves will pick off the pet hair without any trouble. To make it even easier, use a lint roller on your carpet to get the pet hair off.

Easy all-purpose cleaner

If you need an all-purpose cleaner for your kitchen, use four tablespoons of baking soda and one cup of warm water, combine them and put it into a spray bottle. All you need to do is to spray your kitchen appliances and wipe it away with a sponge or cloth.

Simple gardening tips

If you own or rent a house, gardening can be quite a hassle, especially if you’re working full time and have children. But planting can add more than just an aesthetic value to your house; it helps with stress-relief, physical health and also your mental health. Here, we have listed several affordable, easy, gardening tips to make the task more enjoyable, rather than a punishing one to go through.

No-stick shovel

If you have a nonstick pan, you might want a nonstick shovel as well, by spraying your shovel with a silicone or a Teflon lubricant your shove will be much more easier to clean. A good coat of the spray will help dirt and soil to get off from your shovel efficiently, and in the winter, snow won’t stick onto your shovel, which is a win-win solution on all seasons.

Make your own watering system

Let’s say that you finally book your trip to Hawaii but you still need to water your plants, and asking for your friends or neighbor would be too much of trouble. By doing this, your plant gets watered slowly, while you’re enjoying your vacation.
